What LiftMate reads, and what it does not

This page is for the LiftMate iPhone app. The waitlist website is separate and does not connect to Apple Health. Support: hello@liftmate.ai

Workout information we read

LiftMate asks to read your recorded Apple Health workouts. For each one, it looks at start time, end time, how long it lasted, the workout type, where it came from, whether you entered it by hand, the time zone, and the workout ID, which is a unique identifier. It uses that to credit the right day, avoid counting the same workout twice, and keep your history.

What we do not request

LiftMate does not request or use calories, heart rate, distance, or location routes.

Your Apple Health records

LiftMate uses workouts already saved in Apple Health. It does not add, change, or delete those records.

Sharing workouts with LiftMate

You control this in the Health app. Open Health, tap Summary, then your picture or initials. Under Privacy, tap Apps (or Apps and Services), choose LiftMate, and turn on Workouts. Turning sharing off stops LiftMate from reading new workouts. It does not erase the history already saved in the app, and it does not pause a live pet.

Where app data lives

Saved data lives on this iPhone so the app and Home Screen widget can show the same bloop. That includes your pet, settings, workout records, counted days, and history. There is no LiftMate account. The iPhone app does not send your workouts to LiftMate.

Apple Health and backups

Recorded workouts live in Apple Health, which is an Apple service. LiftMate reads workouts on your iPhone. If this iPhone is backed up, LiftMate’s saved data can be included, depending on your backup settings. Those backups can still hold that data after you delete the app.

Deleting or offloading the app

Deleting LiftMate removes its data on this iPhone. It does not delete workouts in Apple Health. Offloading the app keeps LiftMate data on the iPhone. Restoring an old backup can restore old LiftMate data.

TestFlight betas

If you install LiftMate from TestFlight, Apple automatically collects crash logs and app-use information and shares them with LiftMate. You cannot turn that collection off. This data may include your name and email. Optional feedback you send is also shared. It may be linked to your name and email, and it may include screenshots and comments you choose to add. Check those before you send. This TestFlight collection is separate from LiftMate reading Apple Health workouts on your iPhone.

This website

liftmate.ai uses Vercel Analytics for visits and page views, and it stores waitlist email if you request beta access. That is not part of the iPhone app, and it does not receive your workouts. Waitlist details are on the waitlist privacy page.
